Homemade Energy Drink

lemon_challenge

This is just one of my homemade energy drinks, but it’s also one of the most beneficial. It only contains two ingredients, but they pack a punch.

It’s so simple, you wonder why you haven’t tried it until now. Ready for this? Lemon and water…, that’s it!

Here’s why it’s so beneficial. Lemon is a unique food. They are anionic, which in lamens terms means that it carries a very strong negative charge and is electrically active. This is significant because it puts lemons in the same category as our digestive processes like hydrochloric acid, digestive enzymes, and saliva which are all anionic. This means that fresh lemon will assist your bodies digestive processes and helps oxygenate the body, allowing your body to work a little less and have more energy.

Lemon also assists the liver in expelling toxins from the body which is essential on your journey to wellness.

There are too many benefits to list here so I’ll leave that for you to research on your own. The point here is to get you to start drinking lemon water every day. I drink it every morning and you should too.

So skip the coffee and instead go for fresh lemon water! Are you up for the challenge? Your body will thank you.

Instructions
  1. Add freshly squeezed lemon to your filtered water. I use a glass water bottle and fill it with water and then add the lemon juice. Make sure to chew the fiberous pieces to ingest the pectin. That's where the majority of it sits is in the pulp.
  2. Drink 30 minutes before you eat to absorb it quickly and/or 45 minutes after eating to assist the digestive process.
  3. Hint: Make sugar-free lemonade by just adding a little Stevia.
